Colonial Village at Trussville

Unlike most apartment complexes, the CVT office staff answered my phone calls. Chad & Zelda monitor the phone line very well . Zelda and Chad also monitor the emails. The CVT property manager also returns messages . This office staff appears well put together and each individual in the office is an asset . I instantly felt at home and ended my apartment search after meeting Zelda and Chad . I felt like my family and I would be in good hands . Chad is so professional. Zelda is a superior problem solver . And the property manager showed me compassion & understanding. My suggestions are keep doing what you're doing at CVT. Inside my apartment the walls are painted nicely and not with that cheap paint . The carpets are clean upon move in , bathrooms were clean and presentable . The closet in the master bedroom is a spacious walk-in. People in my unit are working professionals. There’s no noise , no loud music, no disturbances. The only thing I see are dog owners who allow their dogs to poop on the lawn and they don’t clean up the poop . It’s a gated community, but there are those who tailgate to get in the community. The ground keepers are courteous and helpful . Great location , near the interstate and near shopping centers. Overall I made the right choice .

Two complaints. Someone above me throws trash from their balcony and it lands right in front of mine. Cups, plastic bowls, straws and wrappers and various other items. The other complaint is people with no handicapped placard or tag constantly park in handicapped spaces. I AM handicapped, so I don't appreciate these people parking in those spaces. I have informed the staff about these complaints, but it hasn't helped. Otherwise, I love it here. The staff and maintenance guys are very competent and friendly. The grounds in general are kept up beautifully. Most residents are friendly. I hope to be able to stay for several years.

The manger is the worst to deal with bad attitude, I had to get a lawyer to deal with her because she made up lies and harassed me and my family with other tenants because they let there tenants that been here for years run the community. I would not move here the assistant manger is rude on move in day she never gave me all the things I needed to even get into my home! I had to ask other tenants for help. The manger called the cops on me and my child, the cop literally walked passed us in the office and wasn’t even sure why they were there. They place is very racist even tho black people work in the office the Mexican manger makes it her business to choose certain people and pick on them cause she can! YOU and YOUR Family has been Warn do not move here !

I been staying in the complex for over a year! I must say this is best apartment complex I ever stayed in. Recently my apartment had some electrical issues. They put me in nice hotel for over a week while they fix my apartment, not only that they replace all my appliances with new ones. They stayed in contact with me while they was getting my apartment back together and was always nice and was always willing to explain everything that was going on. I can’t forget about the wonderful maintenance staff as well. No matter how late it is, they will call and they will come and if they can’t fix it, you best to believe they find someone who will. Overall this is a wonderful apartment community and I am so thankful to be apart of it!!!
